e-Invoicing to play a key role at the John Lewis Partnership

London, 3 November 2011 OB10 (www.ob10.com), the e-Invoicing network, has been selected by the John Lewis Partnership, a leading UK retailer, to drive efficiencies and streamline its processes with suppliers to support the continuing growth of its business.

Purchasing Insight logoThe Partnership is phasing out paper invoices and launching new solutions to ensure its suppliers can send their invoices electronically to Partnership Services, its business services division. By using e-Invoicing, its suppliers will benefit from secure and guaranteed invoice delivery within hours, which will allow its Financial Processing department to process invoices more quickly and with greater transparency.

Supporting suppliers transition to e-Invoicing is important to the retailer. A key differentiator in our selection process was OB10s proven skills in working with suppliers to successfully onboard them to the e-Invoicing network, said Chris Darlington, Project Lead at Partnership Services. We particularly liked OB10s ability to accept any file and any format, which makes e-Invoicing as easy as possible for our suppliers.

The retailer also found that suppliers who submit 17% of its goods-not-for resale (GNFR) invoices were already on the OB10 e-Invoicing network.

“e-Invoicing is an important element of any finance initiative as it supports and streamlines the purchase-to-pay process”, said Luke McKeever, CEO at OB10. “We are delighted to support the John Lewis Partnership on its journey and welcome it to our network alongside our growing list of major retail clients.”
